Mark Hands from the Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) will be presenting the Trade Services Award.
Mark is the Chief Executive Officer for the Australian Industry Trade College Ltd (AITC). Mark has a broad history across the construction industry, youth work and education.
He was the principal of an independent P – 12 school in Queensland for 16 years before taking up the present role in 2006.
In August of 2020, Mark featured in The Educator's Hot List of 50 key individuals in the K-12 education space who have shown great commitment to improving the sector over the past 12 months.
This recognition is the culmination of Mark's determination to create a school 'by industry, for industry' that instills values such as safety, respect, honesty and courage at the AITC It is this values-based philosophy, together with his agile approach to industry needs, which have contributed to significant and sustainable employment outcomes for over 1,400 young people in South East Queensland over the past 12 years.
Leanne Donne will be presenting the Best Customer Service Award.
Leanne and her husband Brian moved to Springfield in 2018 to open the new Quest Springfield.
During this time Leanne and Brian have played a major part in our community, you always see them attending local events and supporting local businesses. Leanne always thinks outside the box and comes up with amazing ways to support and collaborate with the local business community.
Kath Manby will be presenting the Business Person of the Year Award.
Kath is the Principal Lawyer of VM Family Law based in Brookwater.
VM Family Law are one of the first law firms in Queensland to be primarily focussed on matters involving domestic and family violence and you will be assisted by our working collaboratively with other domestic and family violence organisations.
Kath has written and delivered the first specialist domestic violence training for lawyers and other professionals who work in this field.
Presenting the Business of the Year Award is Springfield City Group's Managing Director, Raynuha Sinnathamby.
A solicitor by trade, Raynuha holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees and also a Masters in Business Administration.
In February 2013, Raynuha was appointed Managing Director of the Springfield City Group. Over the years, Raynuha has been closely involved in the building of the Greater Springfield City, now the fourth fastest growing statistical local area in the country.
Greater Springfield is an award winning project encompassing six suburbs and home to over 45,000 people.
Over the years, Greater Springfield has won numerous State and National awards.
In November 2019, Greater Springfield received the UDIA Qld Awards for Excellence 2019 - Queensland's Best Development of last 25 years (25th anniversary award).
